Now a star of the hit HBO show Game of Thrones, young Nathalie Emmanuel literally grew up on the UK’s TV screens, being a lead character in a show called Hollyoaks, which airs every day during the working week and continues to do so. Now, she is going Fast & Furious, rubbing shoulders with the Mother of Dragons, and joining one of the latest hit Hollywood franchises of the moment.
With an exciting future ahead of her, here are 5 things about Nathalie Emmanuel.

What’s her story?
Born March 2 1989 in Southend-On-Sea, in England, to her Dominican mother and half Saint Lucian, half English father. She has a sister, who fancies herself as a singer, making it to the final of a TV competition. As well as tv and film, Nathalie also worked on stage and appeared as a young Nala in the West End production of The Lion King.
So it’s thanks to her parents that she has such striking looks!
Correct, and she was just announced as the Sexiest Actress Alive 2015 by Glamour Magazine, and quite rightly so, too.
What have I seen Nathalie in?
If you’re a Brit like me and were watching Hollyoaks until around 2010, then you’ll easily recognize Nathalie as Sasha, who she played from 2007 to 2010, appearing in 191 episodes… blimey!
But, apart from that, she has done little else, except one of characters in a bunch of popular UK shows, and a role in an indie film called ‘Twenty8K’. But of course, she is better known for her current role as Missandei in the ridiculously popular and successful ‘Game of Thrones’, which she joined in 2013, playing the handmaid of Daenerys Targaryen.
Is she young, free and single?
Afraid not guys. And apparently there are rumours that she’s just got hitched to her long-term boyfriend Devon Anderson.
What’s next for Miss Emmanuel?
Well, as I said above, she stars in the latest film in the Fast & Furious franchise called ‘Furious 7’ as Ramsey, set to be the most poignant installment to date, owning to the fact we say goodbye to Paul Walker who died during filming. Her character Ramsey arrives later into the plot, when characters Roman and Tej find her somewhere in the Middle East, abandoned by her family when she was young. This is her first major Hollywood film so the best of luck to her.
Also, she appears in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials as Harriet, joining the surviving Gladers from the first film as they navigate their way across a desolate landscape full of horrendous obstacles. But what does it all mean? We are yet to get more answers. If you haven’t already seen the first film ‘Maze Runner’, I highly recommend that you do because it’s fun, and full of teen drama.
Then, finally, as we all know, Game of Thrones returns for its fifth season which is looking like it will be its most popular to date. We were left with a number of exciting cliffhangers, questions, and the pieces were all finally falling into place. Judging by the trailer, we are in for one hell of a ride, and Emmanuel’s character Missandei becomes increasingly more important. Exciting stuff!
